GH Quotes (GH Cotizaciones) · Last updated: October 3, 2026
This policy explains what data the GH Quotes app (also published as GH Cotizaciones) processes, what it is used for, and what you can do with it. This is a translation; the Spanish version is the reference text.
1. Who is responsible
- Data controller: George Bardawil
- Address: Leonidas Perez 3450, Copiapo, Atacama Region, Chile
- Contact: gbardawil@gmail.com
2. What data we collect
The app processes the data you enter or that is needed to identify you. The free plan, on Android and iOS, shows Google AdMob ads (see 2.4); with a subscription there are no ads. To understand how the app is used, we measure usage in aggregate with Google Analytics for Firebase (see 2.5).
2.1 Your account data
| Data | Where it comes from | What it is for |
|---|---|---|
| Email address | You type it, or your Google or Apple account (if you choose to hide it, Apple gives us an address that forwards to yours) | To identify you and let you sign in |
| Display name | You type it, or your Google or Apple account | To show it in the app and on the quotes you issue |
| Profile photo | Only if you sign in with Google | To show it in the app |
| Internal identifier (UID) | Generated by Firebase | To link your data to your account |
The app never sees or stores your password. It is handled directly by Firebase Authentication.
2.2 Data you enter as content
It belongs to you and your business. The app stores it so it can show it to you and generate your documents:
- About your business: name, tax ID (RUT, RFC, NIT, EIN, ABN... depending on the country), address, phone, email, logo and preferences (currency, tax, quote format).
- About your clients: company, contact person, email, phone, address, tax ID and notes.
- About your catalog: products or services, prices, units and categories.
- About your quotes: line items, quantities, prices, discounts, taxes, notes and terms.
If you store data about third parties (your clients), you are the one responsible for that data towards them. The app acts as a tool that stores it on your behalf.
2.3 Data we do NOT collect
To be explicit, the app does not collect or use (except for what is described in 2.4 and 2.5):
- Precise location (GPS).
- Contacts, address book, calls, SMS or calendar.
- Browsing history or usage of other apps.
- Health, financial or biometric data.
- Automated crash reports.
The app asks for access to your photos in one case only: when you choose your business logo. The image you select is stored with the rest of your business settings. No other photo is accessed and nothing is uploaded unless you choose it.
2.4 Advertising (free plan only, Android and iOS)
If you use the app without a subscription, Google AdMob ads are shown. To serve and measure them, and to prevent fraud, Google processes on its own:
- The device's advertising ID (on Android; on iPhone the app does not ask for tracking permission, so it does not access the IDFA).
- Your IP address, from which it may infer an approximate location.
- Technical device information (model, operating system, language).
- Your interactions with the ads (whether you see or tap them).
In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent before showing personalized ads, and you can change it at any time in Settings → Ad privacy.
Your business content (clients, catalog, quotes) is never shared with the ad provider. If you subscribe, the app stops loading the ad system entirely. The web version does not show ads.
2.5 Usage analytics
We use Google Analytics for Firebase to understand, in aggregate, how the app is used and to improve it. It records:
- Technical data: device model and operating system, app version, language and approximate country or region.
- An app installation identifier and, on Android, the advertising ID.
- Usage: screens viewed, session length, subscription purchases and actions such as creating a quote or generating a PDF (only that they happened, and how many line items the quote has).
- Your business country, the app language and whether you use the free plan or the subscription.
Your business content is never sent: no client names, products, amounts or text from your quotes. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the consent you choose in the ads form is respected.
3. Who it is shared with
We do not sell or transfer your data to anyone. These third parties are involved:
- Google Firebase (Google LLC) — Authentication and Cloud Firestore. It hosts the database and handles sign-in. Firebase privacy policy
- Google AdMob (Google LLC) — ads in the free plan, under the terms of 2.4. How Google uses data
- Google Analytics for Firebase (Google LLC) — usage analytics, under the terms of 2.5.
- Sign in with Apple (Apple Inc.) — only if you choose to sign in with your Apple ID. That access is revoked when you delete your account. Apple privacy policy
Your data may be stored on Google servers outside your country of residence. Google applies its own contractual safeguards for international transfers.
4. How long it is kept
As long as your account remains active. If you request deletion, your account and its associated data are deleted within 30 days at most, except for what must be kept by legal obligation.
5. Your rights
- Access the data we hold about you.
- Correct it (you can edit most of it yourself in the app).
- Delete your account and all your data.
- Export it in a readable format.
- Object to its processing.
To exercise them, write to gbardawil@gmail.com. We will reply within 30 days at most.
How to delete your account
Write to gbardawil@gmail.com from the email address you registered with, saying that you want to delete your account. The following will be deleted:
- Your login account.
- Your business data, clients, catalog and quotes.
Deletion is permanent and irreversible. We recommend exporting your quotes as PDF before requesting it.
6. Security
- All communication between the app and the servers is encrypted with HTTPS.
- Access to data is restricted by security rules on the server: each user can only read and write their own business's data, and this is enforced on the server, not in the app.
- Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication; we never see them.
No system is infallible, but we apply reasonable measures to protect your information.
7. Minors
The app is intended for professionals and businesses. It is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from minors.
8. Changes
If this policy changes significantly, you will be notified in the app. The date of the last update is always shown at the top of this document.
